The two juggernauts of the EDM universe Pretty Lights and Skrillex, have put their noggins together to put together one of the most wonderfully absurd and compelling line-ups of the festival season (and easily the best promo poster, can’t compete with that). The “With Your Friends Festival” is primed to feature each producer/DJ in a headliner slot with direct support from rap legend Nas, who will be performing with a nine-piece band, and the globally-inspired girl-pop of Santigold. 12th Planet, Dillon Francis, Michel Menert, and TOKiMONSTA flesh out the bill. Having spent 6 years as a Nashville resident myself, I can attest that this festival’s site is indeed incredible, scenic and the October weather on the waterfront of downtown Nashville should make for good vibes, scenery and a comfortable setting. Artists will perform in front of the scenic river and skyline, and a private event will ensue post-festival at an undisclosed terrestrial location.
