To kick off Nolafunk’s inaugural Jazzfest concert series, a group of big-time players descended on Republic New Orleans for a Dead-heavy superjam to get the Jazz Fest night scene in proper motion. In a reprise of last year’s highly-touted night show, Anders Osborne, Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead), Paul Barrere & Fred Tackett of Little Feat, Billy Iuso (and appearances by Papa Mali) made up the remarkable band with Marco Benevento opening the show.. Hodges now lives amongst THE CALIFORNIANS as a newcomer to West LA.
