UPDATE: Jimmy Buffett Acoustic will Replace Eddie Vedder at Jazz Fest
The question of who will fill in the vacant headlining slot on Thursday at Jazz Fest has been answered: Jimmy Buffett will play an acoustic set with Mac McAnally on Thursday, May 3 and will be closing the Acura Stage. Buffett replaces the previously scheduled Eddie Vedder who was forced to cancel his appearance and tour due to injury. Buffett last performed at Jazz Fest in 2011 with the Coral Reefer Band and recently played in Woldenberg Park on April 1st at the NCAA Big Dance Concert Series at a show that included a cameo appearance by Saints Coach Sean Payton.
Wesley grew up in coastal Georgia and is a former resident of The Music City and the Big Easy where he helped get Live Music Blog: NOLA off-the-ground, managing it in New Orleans through Jazz Fest 2012. Hodges now lives amongst THE CALIFORNIANS as a newcomer to West LA. His favorite artists include My Morning Jacket, Sigur Rós, Widespread Panic, The Allman Brothers Band, Dr. Dog, Tame Impala, Anders Osborne, Radiohead and Bobby & The Midnites.
