PHOTOS: Big Sam’s Funky Nation @ YLC Wednesday at the Square – 3/28/12
Photographer Marc Pagani was down at the Square this past Wednesday to shoot Big Sam’s Funky Nation’s performance as part of the annual free 12-week concert series. Marc recently picked up some new gear and this was his first time using it to shoot a live music performance with the D4 – here’s what Pagani had to say about the gear used:
The cameras used for this shoot were the Nikon D4 and D3S. The D4 is the brand new flagship camera by Nikon – only a few of us have one in New Orleans. Many of the incredibly sharp images were shot at 10,000 ISO (film speed). I usually shoot live music with a full range of Nikon lenses. The zooms are f/2.8 and the prime lenses are f/1.4. Zooms include 16-35mm, 24-70mm, and 70-200mm. Primes are the 35mm and 85mm.
