Newport Folk Festival 2012 Lineup: MMJ, Jackson Browne, Conor Oberst, Iron & Wine, Arlo Guthrie

The has announced their 2012 lineup, with and heading up the top of the two-day lineup, along with Iron & Wine, , , , , tUnE-yArDs, The Head and the Heart, , , , and , a new group consisting of Yim Yames (), Jay Farrar (Son Volt), Will Johnson (Centro-matic), and Anders Parker (Varnaline). Other notable acts playing the festival include , , , , City & Colour, & His Extraordinaires, , , , , Of Monsters and Men, Sara Watkins, Deep Dark Woods, Carl Broemel, and Brown Bird.

The 2012 takes place July 28-29th at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI.
