After taking most of 2011 off, Dave Matthews Band will hit the road this summer for a massive trek across North America. The band has chosen a bunch of interesting opening acts for their 40 summer dates, including The Avett Brothers, the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Delta Spirit, Fitz and the Tantrums, Gary Clark Jr., The Head and the Heart, and Lettuce, among others.

Fanclub pre-sales for DMB Warehouse members start tomorrow (February 16) at 10AM ET, with public on-sales set for Friday, March 9 at 10AM ET.

The band has also confirmed they’ve teamed up with producer Steve Lillywhite to start in on a new studio album.
