Wakarusa Festival Initial 2012 Lineup: Pretty Lights, Bob Weir, Edward Sharpe

It looks like one of our favorite seasons of the year — “Festival Lineup Announcement Season” — is officially upon us. has come out of the gate nice and early with their initial 2012 lineup, including , Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, G. Love & Special Sauce, and an acoustic trio featuring , , and . This year’s festival is set for May 31 – June 3 at Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas.

This initial lineup seems designed to excite all the key festival-going fan demos. For the electronic and dance crowd, there’s Pretty Lights, MiM0SA, , and . For the jam kids, there’s Keller, , and this trio w/ and . And if your tastes land somewhere in between indie, folk, roots, funk and rock, you’ve got bands that nicely blur the lines of various genres and fan bases, including G. Love, Edward Sharpe, Jason Isbell, , etc… Overall, it’s a solid initial lineup and should get all the hardcore fans buying up early-bird tix . (1/13: LINEUP UPDATED).
