Public Radio station 88.5 FM KCSN/Los Angeles is proud to announce that Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame members TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS will play the station’s first Benefit Concert.
The Benefit Concert will be held Saturday, October 29th, at the 500 seat Plaza del Sol Performance Hall on the campus of California State University, Northridge. Tickets will be sold during a membership Pledge Drive from October 14th through October 23rd.
I interned for the NPR public radio affiliate when I was in college and I have always had a specialized affinity towards the notion of user-supported broadcasting and entertainment. Kudos to Petty for throwing his name behind something a lot of the local fans will easily get behind and easily draw a ton of money for the radio station…
