Pretty Lights: Two-Night NYE Run in Colorado

We were just about to post the news for the untz fans that has already announced his plans for New Year’s Eve in Colorado when we saw the Phish NYE news hitting the wires. Seems like fans in Colorado have to make a tough choice on whether or not to stay home for this one…

is taking over the 1st Bank Center for two nights starting December 30th and welcoming Porter Robinson and Supervision the first night then Zedd and Paul Basic the second night. From his Facebook page…

Four years ago I played an after party show on NYE in a bowling alley in Fort Collins, CO to about 100 people. Since then, the new electronic music scene has exploded across the entire country and I’ve produced and toured almost endlessly. It’s all built up to this two night run at the 1st Bank Center in CO for New Years Eve 2011 where I will pull out all the stops in creating my vision of the ultimate PL party. Porter Robinson & SuperVision 12/30 – Zedd & Paul Basic 12/31 Who knows? This could be our last, it’s time to go fucking BIG big. presale 10/10 10am MST @: http://plmusic.pl/NYE

My mind had already been made up even before the DJ otherwise known in real life as Derek Vincent Smith announced his plans. I’d love to see him on a NYE, that’s for sure, but it just isn’t in the cards for me this year. After watching the Phish NYE extravaganza last year from my living room couch, I made it clear to myself I wouldn’t miss another MSG show.
