LMB NYC: This Week’s Concert Calendar – Sept 26 – Oct 2

This week in Live Music is an interesting one, with a couple notable heavy-hitters and a few solid small-club shows…

After their Saturday night slot as the musical guest on SNL, Radiohead decided to stick around town for two, now-sold-out shows at the Roseland Ballroom; definitely a tough ticket due to the venue size, so here’s hoping you were one of the lucky NYers who scored tickets. If not, there are plenty of other great options this week, including the All Tomorrow’s Parties “I’ll be Your Mirror” event in Asbury Park, which is being curated by Portishead & ATP and features sets by Jeff Mangum (of Neutral Milk Hotel), Portishead, and a number of other buzzy bands like Battles and .

I’ve also got my eye on a number of weekend shows, including (at Roseland on Friday), (at Webster Hall on Saturday), American Babies (at Rockwood Music Hall on Saturday) and , who’s bringing his Spectacular Spinning Songbook back to NYC with a show uptown at the United Palace on Saturday. If all this is a little tame and you need something a bit more danceable, then ’s Sunday night slot at Brooklyn Bowl is a solid bet.

As always, there’s plenty of other good stuff, so read on for all the highlights and some videos…
