@LMBNOLA: Voodoo Experience 2011: The Weird, The Awesome & The Macabre
Regardless of your thoughts on this year’s lineup, to the festival’s credit, the Voodoo Experience always does a bang-up job of compiling one of the most unique, wholly eccentric and random yearly lineups of any American festival. No one outside of the Rehage camp could’ve envisioned this sorta lineup and I’m actually kind of excited about it after having been to Bonnaroo and ACL this year (two great festivals, but two with a great deal of crossover acts). Doubt I’ll get another chance to see Soundgarden, Blink-182, Fatboy Slim, Peelander Z and Snoop in the same weekend.
Wesley grew up in coastal Georgia and is a former resident of The Music City and the Big Easy where he helped get Live Music Blog: NOLA off-the-ground, managing it in New Orleans through Jazz Fest 2012. Hodges now lives amongst THE CALIFORNIANS as a newcomer to West LA. His favorite artists include My Morning Jacket, Sigur Rós, Widespread Panic, The Allman Brothers Band, Dr. Dog, Tame Impala, Anders Osborne, Radiohead and Bobby & The Midnites. Daft Punk is actually playing at his house tonight and you're invited.
