VIDEOS: Iron and Wine @ ACL Fest 2011 (DAY TWO)

After an absolutely blow-out Day One at and tons of amazing photo opportunities for yours truly, Saturday seemed to present a few new set of challenges at the festival that I wasn’t fully prepared for. First and foremost, the rain was threatening and it was starting to come down just enough to get kind of wet and just enough to feel like you need to protect your electronics, so the first band I really wanted to see during the day wasn’t something that I could photograph.

played a set on the big AMD stage and really seemed to play perfectly to the weather that folks were experiencing; their set was big yet relaxed, triumphant and beautiful yet jammy and spacey at times. It was definitely the most eclectic set if you ask me; tons of instrumentation switching and tons of really solid melodies coming from frontman and lead songwriter Samuel Bean.
