@LMBNOLA: Photos from Stockholm Syndrome @ Tipitina’s 8/20/11

capped a quick and dirty August national tour at Tipitina’s with a deafening and thunderous 2-hour set heavy on freight train rock and roll (like the setcapper “Road to Damascus”). There were a few lighter moments like the jazzy “Purple Hearts”, a Schools-led “Who Dat” chant and the classic funk nod on “Couldn’t Get It Right,” but the lasting impact (and ringing in the ears) of the show was quite simply how hard these guys rocked and Eric McFadden’s amazing stylistic range on the guitar.
