Setlist: Phish @ UIC Pavilion, Chicago 8/15/11

played their first of three nights at last night and tore the roof off a steamy indoor arena show right in the middle of summer. Me and @PeteLikesPhish were raging this one hard with a 6:55am flight from SFO to ORD, a lunch at Revolution Brewery in Logan Square, and a roll through the lots and a hangout session with some local dudes kind enough to share their shade and cooler space with us pre-show. It was a fantastic start to the night.

This show is an absolute must-listen front to back. The energy in the room was palpable and perspirational; everyone was sweating, smiling, hugging and slapping High-5′s with strangers. My text messages were filled with jealously and joy all at the same time.

Set 1: Back on the Train, Rift > Guelah Papyrus, Scent of a Mule, Jesus Just Left Chicago, Wolfman’s Brother, Anything But Me, Babylon Baby*, Reba, Alumni Blues > Letter to Jimmy Page > Alumni Blues

Encore: Camel Walk, Guyute, The Horse > Silent in the Morning, Harry Hood
