Remember that new upstate NY festival we mentioned a few weeks back, called the Big Up? Well, in a pragmatic response to Phish’s recent summer tour announcement which includes shows at SPAC in upstate NY, the festival organizers have re-scheduled The Big Up from its original June 17-19 weekend to August 5-7. It looks like they don’t want to deal with the uphill battle of competing against Phish in upstate NY.

It’s probably a wise move not to go head-to-head against Phish, but they’ve not yet announced how the change will affect their initial artist lineup. We’ll see, but let’s hope their luck improves from here on out.
