Rumor: Phish to Play Telluride August 9 – 10

Per the Denver Post’s Reverb blog:

After a memorable four-night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre last summer, the reunited jam band may pay a visit to Telluride’s Town Park on Aug. 9-10 — if the interested parties can land on the same page.

Like the Wrigley Field rumor, this has definitely not been approved or confirmed, but in Telluride is certainly an interesting possibility and we’d love to see it happen.

        I’m a local and I can say for certain that Jimmy is a dumb ass. There are plenty of Telluride locals that love Phish. I am not one of them but I do respect their music and I’ve found Telluride locals to be some of the most respectful and open-minded music fans in the world. I for one would welcome Phish to Telluride.

      If you do not like Phish and you clearly do not live in Telluride you must be incredibly bored and/or unemployed to take time to write this post. My family lives in Telluride (parents and sister) and my husband and Iook forward to joining them there in August.

      Apparently, your grandmother never told you “If you have nothing nice to say… then shutit”. And yes my sister is a store owner their and will appreciate the boost in economy.

      Go home Jimmy and stay there please…. keep your narrow minded comments out of Telluride because in fact the town is way too cool for you.

Telluride’s CCAASE Board agreed unanimously today to add the event to the town’s special events calendar, and next Tuesday’s Town Council meeting is where the decision will come to pass- or not.
