New England Gets a New Festival w/ Flaming Lips: Nateva 2010
One festival goes down, and another one sprouts up, right? Seems to be the case.
Last week, we were definitely bummed to see the Rothbury Festival get canceled for 2010. But for all the jam kids that will be seeking out a decent alternative for the 4th of July weekend, the inaugural Nateva Festival might just be a solid option.
Check it out:
The Nateva Music & Camping Festival is a 3-day, multi stage outdoor camping event to be held July 2nd, 3rd & 4th at the beautiful 100 acre Oxford Fairgrounds – 2 hours and 25 minutes from Boston and 45 minutes from Portland, Maine. As New England’s premiere Jam based music festival, we look forward to bringing you world class artists in the true Jam Band tradition – as well as a sweet mix of Country, Folk, Reggae, Classic Rock and Indie Artists too. Sign up to join our Email List and be the first to hear our bands announced.
So far, Nateva has only announced one headlining band: the Flaming Lips. That’s a decent place to start, but they’ll need to pull plenty of big names and do some interesting things to break into a festival market that’s still pretty damn crowded in 2010. Let’s keep an eye out for this one.
