Phish at MSG, Night III: Setlist, Downloads, Videos

PhishMSG-12.4.09035

Last night, Phish played their final show of a three-night run at MSG in NYC, and the energy in the Garden was absolutely palpable.

First set highlights included bust-outs of “Glide and “Dinner and a Movie,” a solid “Reba,” and an explosive “First Tube” to end the set (seriously, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a crowd react so ferociously to a first set closer). For set two the band pulled out a long sequence of songs with barely a pause in the action. Highlights included the “Rock and Roll > Seven Below > Twist” sequence which featured some nice exploratory improv, and an uber-funky set-closing “You Enjoy Myself” which seriously pushed the limits of the band’s patented space-funk.

The energy in the building last night was insane, especially during First Tube. Wish I was in Virginia tonight.
