Tonight: Phish @ Red Rocks

Hey dudes. I’m chilling in Lakewood, CO and making all the final plans that I think I need to make to get over to the Red Rocks lot, but I wanted to get up a post in the meantime to let everyone know I’m still here. Forecast is calling for rain right now, and that makes my photo pass seem that much more scary for me. We’ll see what I can come up without wrecking my photo equipment.

More tonight, hopefully. Make sure you’re watching the USTREAMs from the event as I’m sure this is going to be a concert that you want to see as it’s happening live. Until later.

    Justin,

What kind kind of camera and lenses are you shooting? If you have a nice wide angle lens you should try to get a pic of the storm breaking over the horizon from the top of the stands. I’ve talked with the photographer who shot STS9 @ Red Rocks in 08 and he said that the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR lens works great from the pit.

I’m just getting into this whole concert photography thing and I’m shooting a D5000 with a 50mm f 1.4 AF-S and I’m going to rent a Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED AF-S to shoot phish at shorline and the Gorge.
