Dave Matthews Band Postpones Two Shows

by -

Though not surprising at all given the recent passing of LeRoi Moore, news that Dave Matthews Band has postponed two shows will surely make a few thousand fans a bit bummed tonight and Wednesday. Spread the word if you’re a fan and you’ve got tickets.

In the wake of the recent death of saxophonist and founding member LeRoi Moore, the Dave Matthews Band has postponed tonight’s (8/25) planned show in West Sacramento, CA, and Wednesday’s (8/27) gig in West Valley City, UT. [LiveDaily]

I’m honestly surprised that the whole tour didn’t get postponed, so kudos to Dave and team for holding it together for the fans.

I was very sad to learn of LeRoi Moore’s death. It has to be very hard on Dave and the band. I do have tickets for the Sacramento show that was postponed, but I can wait, it’s not about me, it’s about their healing process. It’s amazing they are continuing the tour at all actually. I did hear that the 2 shows and the democratic convention concerts were canceled due to Dave being in the hospital with voice issues and not for LeRoi’s funeral. If this is true, then my best wishes to Dave for a speedy recovery. It has been a tough week for the DMB. Hope to see them back on stage at Raley Feild soon doing what they love, making the best music in the world!
