Fog cloud ominous much?

Hope everyone’s holiday weekend is wrapping up nicely. I’ve been on the couch with a decent case of the flu so posting obviously ceased to a halt. This photo taken from about a week back kinda sums up how I’ve been feeling lately, so sorry for the downtime, folks. I wish we were up for posting more, I really do. Our team will surely step up this week, as there’s tons to cover in Jam on the River, Sasquatch, and Summer Camp. Here’s to hoping my head doesn’t explode from sinus pressure first…

Here’s what we posted this past week.

  • M.I.A. & Holy Fuck @ The Aragon Ballroom, Chicago 05/09/08
Rarely do you get to see an artist who is perched on the brink of stardom. Two Fridays ago, I think I caught M.I.A. at this point of her career. All of the “cool” high-schoolers were dolled up and…
  • New American Music Union Festival

  • Print Tease | The Alamo Drafthouse
I was trolling through the recently uploaded posters on gigposters, waiting for something to jump out at me for this week’s Print Tease, and surprisingly nothing did. Sure, there were some fine posters buried in there, but nothing grabbed…
  • The Bad Plus @ Palace of Fine Arts Theatre, San Francisco 5/15/08
One band that I’ve really been taking a liking to over the past year or so would be The Bad Plus, the jazz trio that has officially crossed-over into territory that few piano jazz trios could ever hope for….
  • Video Teasers: The Helio Sequence
Sorry for the lack of updates yesterday, folks. I’m on a business trip to Chicago this week, and my faithful sidekick is actually on his honeymoon in Costa Rica. The rest of the guys are probably sitting on their ass…
