The Slip has had an already-strong 2007 following up last year’s release of Eisenhower, probably their most buzzed-about, talked-about, blogged-about, attention-laden album yet. We at Live Music Blog are exceptionally proud of this band for shaking their genre label to the point that no one can effectively describe them anymore (at least without making up an entirely new genre for the to fit into).
The band is bringing that wonderful confusion to a whole new audience late tomorrow night…
The Slip is incredibly excited to be making their live performance debut on network television this coming Monday – February 5th – when they will be playing on NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
Of all the late night shows, this is certainly the one where they “fit in” the easiest. Conan’s musical talent always seems to outshine the other late shows, although Jimmy Kimmel has done a good job of featuring a lot of bands that have yet to make their TV debut yet either. At any rate, it’s good to see some quality appearances coming out of the Slip and I’m sure that’ll only continue during this year…
And all this following up their recent snippet on Grey’s Anatomy — talk about a nice way to pay the bills! This band certainly deserves a little breathing room; they’ve earned it.
