Bonnaroo 2007…on it’s own property.

Last year there was some speculation that Bonnaroo would eventually be moving from their land-locked love farm off I-24. “There was only a 5 year contract, etc.”

This year, though — Bonnaroo said fuggit and bought the farm, literally. It became clear to local officials that this was the plan.

Last month festival organizers asked the Coffee County Board of Zoning Appeals for a permanent conditional use permit for the property.

Yeah, I’d say that would be a good hint that the festival wants to stay put. I think this is great for the music festival circuit and it should help people that need to make plans years in advance (like me) to still get out and make plans for that early June vacation in Tennessee.

Living a little over 45 minutes from the site this excites me for more reasons then just Bonnaroo. Sure, Bonnaroo will still be the BIG summer event but by buying their own property and applying for a permanent use permit could we maybe see 2 or 3 smaller events a year?

Hey guys, this year will be my first year at Bonnaroo, i am too excited. but Im afraid of the traffic. does anyone know how to get to bonnaroo from say, some back roads coming from Va. or from anywhere, just give me a road name or something, and directions from that road, and ill find it for sure! there’s no doubt that this sexpot of a music festival isnt worth waiting in line for 13 hours….but if there’s a quicker way, please let me know. my email is laffy_d@yahoo.com

    please contact me.
if nothing else, just to wish me luck.
