Back on Thanksgiving weekend, I went to see night two of Wilco’s Thanksgiving Day homecoming shows. This was my second time seeing the band and I’ve since become a lot more comfortable with their later material, much of what they’re touring around today. I left the show feeling fulfilled and happy.
During the show, though — their humble (and yet not humble) frontman Jeff Tweedy announced that the band didn’t have any immediate touring plans for 2007. The crowd kinda bummed out on that. Jeff went all Debbie Downer.
And then here he goes announcing some solo tour dates for January 2007.
Jeff Tweedy Solo Tour Dates
January 2007
16 – Memphis, TN – Germantown Performing Arts Center
17 – Nashville, TN – James K. Polk Theater
19 – Tulsa, OK – Cain’s Ballroom

I’m sure he’ll announce more — there’s nothing too logical about these dates except the fact that they’re all in the South. Yeah, I’m sure he’ll announce more.
