I’m sorry…

…but Trey just no longer does it for me. Like…not at all…

Nothing too surprising there if you’re a fan of Live Music Blog. We’re over him, so to speak. We’re no longer automatically gung-ho on his side projects, even if there’s an orchestral version of “Divided Sky” to break up on the alternative-pop-rock monotony of the other tunes…

I thoroughly enjoyed SuperDee’s review of his Bar 17 release because she lays it all out there. “I love this man, but our musical tastes are no longer aligned.” Well said. My response would have been something like, “uhm…this album blows…”

DOES TREY STILL DO IT FOR YOU? Why? Is the answer something other than “because he used to…?” I want to hear it.

    The more I listen to solo Trey and solo Mike, the more I learn that a lot of what I thought was Trey was really Mike pushing Trey.

    On the other hand, the 18 Steps EP is probably the best songwriting I’ve heard on a Trey solo album, so there’s still a chance. Good album cover too ;)

    i just saw trey down and charlottesville “actually met him before the show and he was incredibly humble and outgoing”.

    He then completely tore the place down. I started seeing Phish in 91 and this show rates amungst the best I’ve ever whitnessed!

    Please do me a favor get off the wagon, he seems to feed off smaller crowds these days.

    There is really only one way I can say it

    I saw my first Show 4-1-92, and Phish is my favorite band, Ever…and the saw the Grateful Dead More then i saw Phish, but nothing really compares for me

    I like Trey’s new stuff, a lot..but I get this feeling when I see him

    Who still shreds like Trey? Anybody ever heard of Joe Fkn Satriani? His new album makes Trey’s new whiny, pop, drivel look childish. Ive seen 85 er so Phish shows and been on a couple of the earlier Trey tours and i must say this new stuff sucks something awful. Its like nobody who went to coventry remembers this junkie iching all over, unplugging his guitar over and over again, and generally stumbling around like a fool. Since then he seems to have gotten worse butchering songs hes played hundreds of times. Go buy a ticket to see Joe Satriani on his new tour. I did. And he damn near gave me heart attack.

    thanks for the reality check here, guys. went to see trey with phil, 10/28/06 at orleans arena. this show sucked. period. any heads that want to get psyched about this show probably also like Widespread and that shitty guitarist that they just kicked out to the curb. saw that one coming from about a mile away. so, wont be wasting any more $ on either one of these joker bands. they have taken advantage of loyal hippies and jam band fans. thank you. come again!
