Everyone send kudos to Chris @ gorilla vs. bear for his excellent video clip shown above; it was taken last night at the Paramount Theatre in Austin.

Update: here’s a full video of a version of the song from one of the shows on the tour — man, the chills just keep comin’ on this one…

    i just got back from his show in chicago at the riviera tonight, and the whole show was phenominal…the 15 accompanists (Illinoisemakers) he had with him had all the power and sound of a symphony orchestra…i cant even begin to say how badly every person reading this right now needs to go buy a ticket for the next show coming through your area.
    and yes, this song was a gem among many of the old classics (which all sounded so completely different in such an amazing way)
    cheers to sufjan, who is single handedly leading music itself into its next generation

    Wow, amen to that. That show at the Riviera was so amazing. The version of Chicago that they played was so great. That was definately the best concert i’ve been to.
