Lollapalooza 2006 Schedule Released (tomorrow)

Hold onto your horses, folks — the Lollapalooza schedule is dropping tomorrow!

Lollapalooza, the colossal music festival in Chicago’s Grant Park August 4-6, is releasing the artist schedule for the three-day experience on Thursday, June 22. This should allow festival goers to plan their Lolla weekend down to the last bratwurst and potty break.

Friday: Ween, Death Cab for Cutie, and Panic! at the Disco
Saturday: Kanye West, Manu Chao, and the Flaming Lips
Sunday: Wilco and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I’m guessing that RHCP and Wilco are going to be on at the same time so that might suck a little bit, but I think Wilco would win out in that choice.

Update: Thanks to the headsup on the comments and the schedule being released, we now know that Wilco is an hour or so before the Chili Peppers. Headlining slot but they only get an hour? Lame.

I'm the Editor. HOLLA.

Actually, the word is that RHCP is going to be closing out the show uncontested. At least thats what the admins on the message board say.

They guaranteed that the whole lineup will not be announced tomorrow as well. There will be some TBAs in the schedule.

Yeah, I hope not…I’d love to be able to see both of them.

Although I’d have to pick RHCP over Wilco, I don’t know how anyone couldn’t.

Either way, I think RHCP will go uncontested. They wouldn’t put their two big headliners head to head like that, especially considering Sat looks lackluster and Friday is almost even worse.

That’s a pretty great line up. Something for everyone. Not many festivals can boast that.
