Talk about the site that gets my vote every time for music selection and ease of use…
The Internet Archive hosts so much music it’s disgusting. What’s more, they’ve just updated their site to include a flash music player on every page hosting mp3 files. What’s more, there’s a pop-up window that loads the music player for streaming from outside a large browser window. It’s tasty-fine streaming now instead of the chopiness of individual tracks before, and it’s quite nice.
Truly, though, I’d be lost without a site like this even though I’m plenty resourceful with other download sites and whatnot. The hosting of mp3’s is a big thing to me because it means that the music is more easily accessible. I don’t have to install a flac plugin on my laptop while I’m at work just so I can listen to a live show. It’s the Archive that makes so much of this possible. My hat’s off as always…
