The Flaming Lips have announced two nights at Webster Hall in New York City on March 31 and April 1, 2006. Sorta.
It’s not official official yet but I trust the source.

Please Hammer, Don’t Blog This!
I seriously thought this was a joke, but the audioblogs on his site are definitely his voice.

Of Montreal appears to have made love to the Kentucky audience last night.
I need to catch these guys soon. N’er a bad thing said about their live show…

Velvet Sea reviews the Disco Biscuits two-night run in New Jersey this past weekend.
There’s a great YouTube video attached, too.

Mike Doughty on Sufjan Stevens…
“Apparently the reason everybody’s telling me that Sufjan Stevens is awesome is because Sufjan Stevens is awesome.” LOL.

Belle & Sebastian and the New Pornographers are next up in the NPR Live Concert Webcast series. The webcast starts on Monday, March 6 at 9:45pm EST.

I'm the Editor. HOLLA.

Just saw Belle & Sebastian w/ New Pronographers earlier this week in Montreal. Pretty amazing stuff. B&S; was a close to a Smiths show as I could imagine – people were fanatical and Stuart Murdoch was doing his best to give them something to scream about. I’m curious to see if the repsonse to NP in DC is anywhere close to what it was in Montreal – given that they are rock elites in Canada.
