In huge arena-rock news, Aerosmith is pairing with Cheap Trick to head through North America this spring.

moe. raised a bunch of money from their recent Austism Benefit.
The evenings proceeds have brought moe.’s charitable contributions to over $200,000 in the past twelve months, including $150,000 raised for Tsunami survivors and $18,000 for Hurricane Katrina survivors. moe. plans to follow up this benefit with a charity auction on eBay next month, including autographed memorabilia, instruments, etc. from moe. and other celebrities. The band hopes to raise an additional $15,000 for the Kelberman Center. For details about the auction, stay tuned to www.moe.org.

Big Screen Concerts also distributed the jam band Phish’s final two shows at the Coventry festival in Vermont in April, beamed via live simulcast to 40,000 fans in theaters in 54 cities. — WRONG. But we won’t hold it against them…

At this point it’s hard for me to imagine what the Raconteurs record will sound like, but I have high hopes.
