dave matthews band does it again

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a Dave Matthews Band concert. It started to seem weird to me when my little sister became a huge fan, not really that there’s anything wrong with that. The one thing that really got stale for me was how little Dave Matthews Band innovates. Yes, they have pulled off some great accomplishments, most notably the two recent, humongous, free, public shows that he’s put on the in the last couple years.

Then they release a tour announcement today, and I swear the tour looks to me as if it’s the exact same tour they played last year. And the year before. And the year before that. I just started getting really bored. Let’s face it, Dave Matthews Band is somewhat predictable. You can always most certainly guess that they’ll be playing a summer tour at all of these venues all the time. That’s what their crowd has asked from them…

Here is the tour information and tour dates from the Dave Matthews Band Announcement:

Dave Matthews Band has been working long hours on their forthcoming
studio album this winter. The band is very excited to get back on the
road this summer as they feel the songs on the new album lend themselves
to being played live on stage. We have a lot of special things planned
for the summer so please stay tuned to the Dave Matthews Band web site
(http://davematthewsband.com) for updates.
