U2log.com has the inside story on U2’s free guerilla-style concert yesterday in Brooklyn. The pictures look awesome, and I’m sure there’s many other places (including the normal, commercial media sites) that have pictures. [U2log.com]

The Big Wu has announced their New Year’s Eve plans. You know where I’ll be. Umphrey’s McGee baby! Glide Magazine just posted a gallery of Umphrey’s McGee at the Odeon in Cleveland, OH; check it out here.

And, in I-don’t-care-that-much-news, Paul McCartney will be headlining the Super Bowl halftime show. I hope I see those hot nipples!

the one thing I don’t like about U2 doing this; they are already big enough, they shouldn’t be doing these guerilla marketing tactics in order to garner publicity.

I do like the idea that bands that don’t need any money actually play for free. They’re at least trying to give something back to the fans. In reality, they are just doing it to get more publicity to sell more concert tickets and albums.
